Unveiling the St.John Bosco High School hockey’s team 2024-2025 coaching staff

The anticipation for the upcoming 2024-2025 St. John Bosco High School hockey season is building, and with that, we are excited to announce that once again, the accomplished Head Coach Tomas Kapusta will be on board. He brings with him a wealth of experience and will share this expertise with his players. Drafted by the Edmonton Oilers in the 1985 NHL entry draft, Coach Kapusta’s skills led him to the international stage. There, he represented the Czech Republic at the 1994 Olympics in Lillehammer, Norway, and the World Championship in Germany in 1993. His early commitment to excellence in Ice Hockey was evident, as he participated in three Junior World Championships from 1985 to 1987. 

Following his successful playing career, Coach Tomas Kapusta transitioned successfully into coaching, bringing with him a wealth of knowledge for fostering the development of young hockey player talents. He has notably worked with both the Junior Kings and Jr. Reigns organizations as Hockey Director. As far as his educational background is concerned, he holds a Bachelor of Arts in Social Science from CSULA and earned his teaching credential at CSULB. His dedication to educating young people is further highlighted by his role as the Teacher Of Record at Excel Academy Charter School. With his solid playing career, coaching experience, and commitment to education Coach Kapusta is ready to inspire and shape the next generation of hockey stars.
